Double Fold Binder 5/8"
The 508LS is an industrial grade double fold bias binder attachment, also frequently referred to as an A9 binder. It is designed to create a "clean finish" by folding binding tape in half around a fabric edge while simultaneously underfolding both the top and bottom raw edges of the tape.
Key Specifications & Features
- Double Fold (Clean Finish): Unlike single folders, the 508LS ensures no raw edges of the binding tape are visible on either side of the garment.
- Mounting: It is a universal attachment that typically screws directly into the two pre-drilled holes on the machine bed to the right of the needle plate.
- Materials: Used with light to medium weight material, it is not suitable for very heavy materials like leather or thick vinyl, these can become too "tight" to pass through the folding funnel, especially in smaller sizes.
- Machines: Typically associated with the Juki DDL series, it is a universal part compatible with most industrial lockstitch machines from brands like Brother, Consew, and Janome.
