DPX16 | NW | #120/19

DPX16NW (also known as 135x16NW or 135x16P) is an industrial sewing machine needle system featuring a narrow wedge point. Unlike the DPX16LR which cuts at a 45-degree angle, the NW point cuts the leather perpendicular (at a 90-degree angle) to the direction of the seam.

Stitch Appearance: It creates a prominent, decorative effect where the thread is deeply set into the material. The resulting stitch holes are largely filled by the thread, providing a very clean look.
Seam Strength: According to Schmetz, the lenticular incision made at right angles to the seam direction results in high seam strength.
Best Applications: This system is ideal for thick and hard leathers, such as those used in shoes, belts, and upholstered furniture. It is particularly suitable for very short stitches.
