Virtual: Software Boot Camp: Bernina Software with Bev

If you own Bernina V9 Designer+ Software, join Bev for these virtual lessons. Bev has been using Bernina software since it's inception and will show you many tips and tricks along the way. Each lesson will be three parts, beginner information on the topic, then advanced information, and then Bev's extras on the topic.

They will be 2.5 hours in length and will be recorded (just in case you can't make a class or need to step away for a bit). The zoom link will be emailed to you before the class, along with a link to all the class files for you to download. If you are unfamiliar with downloading or using zoom or have questions, email Bev and she will answer your questions and/or do a private lesson with you before the classes commence (bevshumilak@shaw.ca). Class Schedule:

• Class 1: Lettering: How to create an easy recipe towel using word, create your own embroidered alphabet, character mapping and how to move mapped characters from one computer to another.
• Class 2: Editing: Use object properties to do some basic editing and then dive deeper into additional fun ways to make a design your own.
• Class 3: Outlines: Learn the ins and outs of using offsets in the Edit Toolbox. For the more advanced lesson, we will delve into creating outlines in CorelDRAW.
• Class 4: Explore the creative tools in BERNINA Software 9. We will begin with some basic information on pattern stitches and how to edit them. The advanced lesson will include information on creating stitch recipes as well as creating a fun technique called stained glass embroidery.
• Class 5: Applique: We will begin the lesson with a review of the applique tools in Software 9 and then progress to how to create a simple reverse applique design. The advanced lesson will cover how to create reverse applique using the Advanced Applique tool
• Class 6: Auto Digitizing: Explore the tools in the software to help capture your special moments. In the Advanced lesson, we will explore the tools in Corel PHOTO-PAINT for working with photos.
