Chic Picnic – Sew Kind of Wonderful Quick Curve Ruler - South -Brett Lewis

Brett Lewis – Natural Born Quilter is a certified Sew Kind of Wonderful Teacher. Join him as he teaches the Chic Picnic quilt, a classic Sew Kind of Wonderful pattern using the Quick Curve Ruler. Students will learn how to cut and piece this quilt using this incredible tool (no pins required). Kitted in NBQ’s most recent fabric collection Ornithology using Layer Cake precuts and Colorworks solids, students will learn the techniques to create this beautiful classic quilt.
Student Supplies:
- Pattern Purchase Required: Chic Picnic Pattern ((can purchase online at https://sewkindofwonderful.com/ or their local quilt shop).
- SKW Quick Curve Ruler.
- SKW Sew Square 8 is very useful for trimming this block/quilt. Optional.
- Sewing machine in good working order with new needle and piecing foot.
- Fabric (included in the kit)
- Thread for piecing
- Rotary Cutter with new blade
- Small cutting mat for trimming blocks at your own station is useful
- Seam Ripper
- Individual iron and pressing mat is useful, as is spray starch (ie. best press).
Pre-Cutting/Prep for class:
(16) 3" x 4-1/2" assorted fabrics for 4-patch
(4) 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" assorted fabrics for setting triangles
(4) 8-1/4" x 8-1/4" background squares
Partial Kit is included It will need to be picked up at the south store prior to the class. Students will be called when kits are ready for pick up. Additional fabric will be available the day of the class
