Fitting and Working With Knits - Ron Collins - West 1
Uncover great techniques in this knit know-how-to workshop! Bring your favorite knit pattern (yoga pants, knit tops, dress, and zip up hoodie or whatever your heart desires) and fabric to this hands-on workshop. The first day Ron will cover tips on layout, marking, cutting, interfacing, thread and appropriate needle sizes and types. This will be followed by a hands-on segment on making samples on seam and hem finishes, stabilizing necklines and shoulder seams; plus cool seam finishes for armholes and necklines, closures and more (all samples that you take home). The second day we will start on pattern sizing, adjustments and construction. Learn how to make changes to your pattern for a large upper arm, slopping shoulders, high or low bust, sway back, flat seat or large seat, plus more. Come sew the fabric of choice for most people...comfortable to wear, great for traveling, a great staple in your wardrobe.
