MasterClass Techniques: Plackets and Closures - Tessa - South 3
Add a touch of elegance to your blouses and shirts with a discreet hidden buttonstand or add a sporty half placket to a knit top - just two of the many options in this class.
Design or customize your blouse as we dip into easy drafting and adjust any pattern for your new front closure, placket or buttonstand. Learn the guidelines for the buttonstand width, button placement and spacing according to the selected button size.
Sleeve cuffs also get the placket treatment from the traditional tower placket to an elegant and discreet bound opening. Closures include button fastenings which use loops or buttonholes. We will make a variety including a corded and keyhole buttonhole and the easiest bound buttonhole. You will learn how to adapt any pattern to use these details.
With MasterClass Techniques you will build up a toolbox of sewing skills with your own reference binder of each technique. This is ideal for those who want to gain better understanding of a technique, go off script from a pattern, or just do their own thing on a garment.
This is a companion class to MasterClass Techniques:Collars and Cuffs
