Machine Applique Techniques: Dresden Plate - Lois - South 2
Hey beginners, let's learn some new techniques in machine appliqué! A traditional Dresden Plate will be the perfect opportunity to practice a couple of different ways to do machine appliqué, and one method even looks just like it was done by hand.
Supply List:

Sewing machine and usual sewing supplies (machine must be in good working order and you must know how to use it)

¼" foot

Rotary cutter and small mat.

Small cutting ruler

Dresden or Fan ruler or template plastic to make a template

Monofilament thread for mock hand applique

embroidery thread for machine decorative stitches

Fabrics Needed:
Fat quarter to use as background
6" squares of a few contrasting colours for the blades
5" square for the center of the plate
