Techniques: Inset Seams - Lois - South 2



Inset seams are one of those common things you run into in quilting. Fear Not! In this class we will take the mystery out and show you how, AND make a LeMoyne Star block while you do it! Imagine a whole quilt of these 8 pointed stars.. And now you will know how to make them.

Supply List:

  • Sewing machine and usual sewing supplies

  • ¼" foot for your machine

  • Rotary cutter and mat

  • Ruler with 45 degree marking (6 x 24 rulers usually have one)

  • Fabric marking pencil

  • Small ruler with ¼” marked on it (1” x 6” or 1” x 12” or other small ruler)

     

  • Fabrics Needed:

  • Fat quarter of two different fabrics for the star

  • Fat quarter for background
