Techniques: Hexagons - Lois - South 2

Hexagons add a unique setting for a nice focal fabric, but how do you join this unusual shape? In this class we will show you how. You can make them any size you want, use multiple fabrics (like for an I Spy quilt) or use the same fantastic fabric throughout. A specialty ruler makes the cutting a stitch!

Supply List:

  • Sewing machine and usual sewing supplies

  • ¼" foot for your machine

  • Rotary cutter and mat

  • Hexagon ruler (not optional) (Marti Michell Hexagon or Hex"n"More )'

  • 60 degree triangle ruler (not optional) (Fons and Porter 60 degree Pyramid or Creative Grid 60 degree ruler or Hex"n"More)

NOTE:  Hex"n"More ruler combines both the hexagon and the triangle in the same ruler
