Techniques: Attic Windows - Lois - South 2



Attic Windows are a great way to frame a special block in your quilt. In this class you will learn how to do the traditional version in a couple of different ways plus the variation that looks like a shadow behind your block.

Supply List:

  • Sewing machine and usual sewing supplies

  • ¼" foot for your machine

  • Rotary cutter and mat

  • Ruler to cut frames (at least 6 x12)

  • Fabric marking pencil

  • Fabric needed:

  • Some blocks to frame (Can be a nice print with a focal point or a pre-pieced block)

  • Two Fat quarters (will be generous for the sample)..  (One light and one dark if you want your shadow to look like a shadow.)
