Timber Quilt - Opal - South 4

This stunning quilt has a rugged feel to it. The construction is straightforward, but one needs to use caution when building mirrored blocks! Instructor Opal will help you get it right and step you through the process of constructing this mountainous quilt.
Supply List:
- Pattern: Timber by Allison Glass
- Sewing machine (in good working order and you must know how to use your machine)
- Machine needles
- 1/4" foot
- Thread
- Scissors
- Rulers:
- Straight ruler - Opal likes to use a 6" x 24" ruler but bring what you prefer to work with
- 6.5" square
- Cutting mat: 18" x 24" is sufficient but bring whatever size you have
- Rotary cutter and 1 spare blade
- Fabric: as specified in the project
- Regular straight pins and a few heat-resistant straight pins if you have them
- Optional: Wool pressing mat and an iron. There will be ironing boards and an iron in the room but bringing your own may be preferred as paper piecing relies on pressing after every seam is sewn.
- NOTE: The pattern doesn't summarize the cutting requirements. Students should review the attached page and come to the first class with fabric cut in order to have maximum class time for building blocks and constructing the quilt! **
