Twirl Quilt - Opal - West 1
Ready to flex those quilting skills and try something new? Oval rulers are relatively new to the quilting scene and help you create a fresh and unique look for your quilt! Join Opal and learn how to create this Twirl quilt. There is a sample up in both stores, check out the differences between the fabric choices to inspire you!
Supply List:
- Pattern: Twirl by Saginaw Street Quilts (available at Central Sewing)
- Sewing Machine (in good working order with usual accessories, you must know how to use your machine)
- Machine needles
- ¼" foot
- Thread
- Scissors
- Cutting Mat: 18" x 24" is sufficient, but bring whatever size you have
- Rotary cutter + 1 spare blade
- Fabric: as specified in the pattern
- Regular straight pins and a few heat-resistant straight pins if you have them
- Optional: Wool Pressing mat and an iron. There be several ironing boards and iron is the room, but bringing your own may be optimal, as paper-piecing relies on pressing after every seam is sewn.
- Rulers:
- Straight ruler: Opal likes to use a 6" x 24", bring what you prefer to work with
- 6.5" square ruler
- OVALS Always by Creative Grids (available at Central)
- Regular Straight pins amd a few heat resistant straight pins if you have them
