Divination Quilt with Brett Lewis - Natural Born Quilter - South 4
A Natural Born Quilter original pattern and a great introduction to foundation paper piecing (FPP) for beginners! Learn how to sew extremely accurate blocks with ease! Students complete the two focused FPP blocks: Spectrum and Flying Geese that repeat throughout the quilt. Participants will complete FPP blocks and have the skill set to personalize their quilts and complete it at home. Students can continue on at home completing this amazing quilt.
Kit includes Fabric to complete the 42 ½“ x 42 ½“ modern foundation paper pieced mini/baby quilt. All 36 photocopied foundation paper pieced templates are also included for ease on foundation paper. Kit does not include Border Fabrics (A - Leap Frog) or Binding Fabric (I - Horsetail). These may be available for students to purchase after class from Brett Lewis subject to fabric availability.
Student Supplies:
- Sewing Machine in good working order
- Iron (ideally small) and pressing mat for student’s station for ease of FPP.
- Fabric (some cutting prep required prior to class) (*Provided in the kit).
- Divination Quilt Pattern (*Provided in the kit).
- Thread for piecing
- Rotary Cutter
- Small cutting mat
- Scissors (ideally pair to cut paper)
- Straight Pins
- Seam Ripper
- Add a Quarter Ruler
- Rulers: Square Ruler for Squaring up 7 ½ “ quilt Blocks.
- Foundation Paper to complete copying your Templates (*Provided in the kit).
- Optional: A Seam Roller may be useful for foundation paper piecing in lieu of iron.
