Oh Baby Memory Quilt - Mila - South 4



Learn how to make a wonderful memory quilt using your baby or child's t-shirts! Our precious babies are growing so fast and we can capture these moments to save the memories in the cute baby quilts. You will learn all the basic techniques needed to successfully make a memory quilt, including how to handle working with stretchy fabrics. In a relaxed atmosphere, you'll make an approx. 30" x 40" lap-sized quilt, starting from the first straight cut to the finishing binding! A lot of tips are included.

Supply List:

Tools:

  • Machine in good working order, with manual
  • Cutting mat, rotary cutter, 6”x24” ruler, 12”x12” ( or similar) square ruler
  • Snippers, scissors
  • ¼” foot for piecing, and a stich-in-a-ditch foot/walking foot
  • neutral colour thread for piecing, matching colour thread for quilting
  • pins, safety pins, 505 spray, fabric marking pen/pencil
  • pen and paper for notes

Fabric:

  • various baby/toddler clothing, e.g. for this quilt size you would need approximately 20 onesies
  • 1m coordinated flannelette or cotton for border and binding
  • 1.5m flannelette for backing
  • 1m batting, 90” wide
