Did you want to try a sew pattern, but it doesn’t fit the same way as the one adjusted for you in class? Do you want to take your love of bra-making to a new level? Now is your opportunity to learn how to adjust and fit a bra pattern! Any bra pattern. Take this one day workshop with Custom Bra-maker Michelle Noble, and learn just what adjustments are needed to make any bra pattern fit your shape.

We have donated our classroom to a fantastic group of volunteers. This group visits us the first and third Thursday of each month. They make quilts and bags which are donated to the Zebra Child Protection Centre. If you are interested in this group, please call the store at 780-486-0047 for details.

From beginners to more advanced, this weekly 2.5 hour class teaches adults the basics of sewing and following patterns. The teachers adapt each lesson to the skill set of those enrolled. As per our class policies If you are unable to attend a class you may ask a friend to take your place instead. There are no refunds or store credits offered if you are unable to attend. Using your selected pattern for a blouse, skirt, pants or jacket, learn to sew in zippers, buttons and buttonholes, sleeves, pockets and linings. Times are 6:00pm till 8:30pm

Sew up a handful of different applications including pants fly zippers, invisible zippers, sport zippers and more. You will make a step by step sample guide for each of the 5 zipper applications to keep in a reference binder. Zippers will be supplied.

Central Sewing offers a variety of sewing classes for different skill levels, including beginner sewing classes that teach adults the basics of sewing and following patterns. Where are the sewing classes held?
The sewing classes are held at our Central Sewing retail locations in Edmonton. "West" is our 18514 - 104 Avenue location and "South" is our 8649 - 63 Ave location.

How much do the sewing classes cost?
The cost varies based on the class. They range from $75 to $400 per a class. For example our beginner adult sewing class costs $200 for the weekly 2.5 hour sessions, while the specialized Beginner Bra Class costs $365.

Do I need to bring my own sewing machine?
For most classes, yes you need to bring your own sewing machine that is in good working order. However, some classes it is not required. Please read the class "supply list" to confirm or contact us for more information.
