Did you purchase your sewing machine from us within the past 5 years? Join us for a FREE “Get to Know Your Machine” class! This hands-on session is designed to help you become more confident with your machine’s features, functions, and everyday operation. Whether you need a refresher or want to discover capabilities you haven’t tried yet, we’re here to help you get the most out of your machine. Bring your machine, power cord, foot control, machine manual and accessories — and let’s sew together! Contact the store to reserve your spot as space is limited.
Join us for a meaningful day of sewing, creativity, and community support as we work together to create sensory blankets for local charities and individuals in need. These special blankets provide comfort, stimulation, and support through a variety of textures, colors, and interactive elements. Whether you’re an experienced sewist or just want to help, everyone is welcome to participate. Bring your sewing machine, basic sewing supplies, and any fabric or notions you’d like to donate. Cotton fabrics, fleece, ribbon, textured trims, buttons, Velcro, zippers, and other sensory-friendly materials are greatly appreciated.
We have donated our classroom to a fantastic group of volunteers. This group visits us the first and third Thursday of each month. They make quilts and bags which are donated to the Zebra Child Protection Centre. If you are interested in this group, please call the store at 780-486-0047 for details.
