Instructions for the Edge Joining Foot

1. Joining lace to cloth
Spray starch will help. No stabilizer is needed. Use a wing needle with D7. The cloth part of the sample was stitched first and then the lace was attached with D7.
2. Joining lace to lace
Spray starch will help. Place the laces side by side. Don't overlap. No stabilizer is needed.
Use A12 SL 1.0 SW 1.5 (depends on lace heading).
Zig zag first - decorative stitch can follow in matching
thread is almost invisible.

3. Stitch in the Ditch
The middle bar really helps keep the stitch in the ditch.
Great for rib finishes, waistbands and tacking facing in shoulder seams.
4. Edge Stitching
Cloth rides only on one set of teeth so slow down when sewing. Butt bar
to fabric edge and use needle position to gett needle just where you want
it.
5. Top Stitching
This really make people say "wow".
Stitch A1, A2 or A3
Ordinary thread was used on this sample. Place seam with bar on seam and use the needle position to place stitching right where you want 4-6 up and down mirror for the other side. yes it take two runs but stitching goes quickly with the bar on the seam. I've used this on polar fleece and boiled wool with great results.
6. Applique
A30 - needle down, foot pressure 3
Keep foot bar very close to side of the applique.
